OK, today is 1/11/11 and I am happy and not obsessing. Really.

I know, I am ignoring myspace

I have been so darn crafty lately. And I lucked out with having 2 partners for the gibbous swap, and as soon as I get the second package pictures and sent I will post both items I made here. I feel very proud of the skirt I just made without a pattern and just by measurements.

I also am in a dollar store swap, haven't sent but rec'd an awesome package today. Swapping is the most fun ever, except when you get flaked on.

Sister and another friend may get an apartment together.

Switched to day shift. No other news.

Need a $3 idea to finish out one swap. She likes rainbows and glitter.

Expanding Horizons

As of today I have joined ravelry to learn and improve skills with yarn. So yes another addiction.

Quit smoking on March 16 and am getting to the "Look at me wrong and I'll rip your head off!" stage. Work is contributing to this.

Ember, Rose's favorite kitty has been gone almost a month.

Depression equals paralyzation

I know no one will read this so I can openly say that when you get a serious depression, you cannot do anything, choose a channel on TV, motivate to apply for that job you need, craft (this is the worst).

Hey and new doll

This is a blood elf poppet for a swap. She is 21" tall not counting the ears. The eyelids are being redone.

Hey, I went out to meet a fellow craftster today, and took a picture of us. I cropped out myself to show you how I looked today. It was very nice.

We had a very nice dinner at Chili's in W Knox and she made me this lovely beaded bracelt and matching earrings. I would have smiled but I'm sure I had bun stuck in my teeth.

I have the mayspace and facebook, and would like to just have somewhere to write to whine and rant. This must be it. I am not working yet, the post office sucks and people who have jobs just aren't grateful. Gotta get back to my other work now. I neded to bookmark this page. LOL

Bra Purses

Yes, I made a bra purse for my sister.
I am always looking what to make out of something else, and these underwire padded bras are seldom found in a shape good enough to use as a gift. What is next I ask myself? Well, after the dining room table and hutch are out of here, it is becoming a dedicated craft room, and as I have an old retro table, if we do need to congregate for a meal, my guests will be surrounded by a very visually busy room.

Almost Christmas

Well, out of work again. Will be going home this weekend and taking the gifts. I wanted to have found something by now, but in this economy it doesn't look good. All prayers accepted.

My inspirations come from many places

It is early and I spend a lot of my day uploading schematics. Some of these diagrams have a certain geometric and structural quality that I find pleasing. But today I wanted to show you a lovely lady. This is my mother. She hated this photo, but I found it very sweet, as she has never looked to serious.

It is about time things were looking up, and for me and my family, this site is full of optimistic musings. Wish I had a lot to say today, but I'm thankful the phone is working, the internet and I am working.

Hello, First Post

Here is a look at my first quilt.




Just wanted to share my love of graphics and fabric. I have started a few quilts and this is #1 created for my niece. It is entitled: "All we are saying..." and was made cutting random pieces for the background. My first venture with a sewing machine for a very long time too.
